Yesterday, I noticed a little something hanging from my eyelashes. No big deal, right? Happens all the time. So I headed to the bathroom so I could look in the mirror and remove the fuzzy. But when I looked in the mirror, it wasn't a fuzzy stuck in my eyelashes...it was baby spider!!! Oooo gross!! There was a tiny spider building a web in my eyelashes and it was dangling right in front of my pupil!
It brought a whole new meaning to the phrase "itsy bitsy spider"!

Crafty Me!
I am the worst "craft-er" in the world. So I was a little weary when I was invited to a craft night last week. I figured I'd go and at least socialize. We were making Christmas ornaments out of washers and I think mine actually turned out pretty good! For the first time in my life, I made a craft without having someone else finish it for me that is worth keeping!

Part III
Well, despite my early predictions, I made it through the first two trimesters! A feat I didn't think possible! My third trimester officially started on Thursday which means only three more months of misery. If you can't tell, I officially hate being pregnant.
| 27 Weeks (6 Months) |
I had my regular doctor's appointment on Friday which resulted in good news and bad news. The good news is I don't have to go back to work for the rest of my pregnancy! The bad news is, the doctor was concerned enough about my symptoms to put me on bed rest. Luckily for me, this is the type of bed rest where I can still get up and do things as long as I'm feeling up to it. I think it will be a really good thing and will allow me to recover from the first part of my pregnancy so that I actually have some energy and strength come February.

Three Whole Years
I didn't forget to mention mine and Jeff's anniversary in the last post, I just chose to have a separate post for it. Jeff and I had planned to head to Utah a few days early and stay in Logan (the town we were married in) for our anniversary. However, do to my work schedule we had to cancel those plans. Since we were travelling that weekend for the wedding we decided to just do something simple. So we just made a nice meal together and spent an hour or so making homemade cards for each other. It was really nice to just do something low key.
Jeff and I were both saying that it feels like we've been married for way longer than 3 years - I'd say it feels more like 8 years! Regardless of the numbers, I really love Jeff. I couldn't ask for a more sensitive and caring companion. He's has been so loving to me for these 3 years. He's even cleaned up all of my throw up messes over the past few months...now that's love! I'm really excited to add another member to our family - I know he'll be a really good father.
I love you Jeffy!

Octoberfest!
October has been a fairly busy month for us! We've done lots of fun things and now it's November all ready! Here's a quick recap of the last few weeks.
First, I had an emotional breakdown at my doctor's appointment the first week of October (because I was still throwing up multiple times a day) which led to another ultrasound and a week and a half off from work. The ultrasound checked out fine and my amniotic fluid levels are back in the "normal" range, albeit the lowest part of the normal range. Despite measuring small for how far along I am, the ultrasound estimates my baby is about 1/2 pound larger than average for her gestational age. How could that be possible when I've only kept about 500 calories a day down?!? My doctor says it's just an estimate and not to worry.
Next, we took a trip to Utah for one of my dearest friend's wedding. It was so fun to get together with friends and celebrate Mary and Reed. My friend Mary is probably as close to perfect as you can get! The song from Mary Poppins, "It's a Jolly Holiday with Mary", sums this woman up to a tee. Everyone feels special with Mary. Who knows how many people were at her wedding and yet she can make each person around feel like the most important guest there. She's so fun and witty but never mean-spirited or irreverent. She's the best example of being Christ-like I have ever seen. Congratulations Mary!
Turns out my parents were in Utah the same weekend we were there, so we joined up with them after the wedding festivities for the BYU football game. BYU killed Idaho so it wasn't the most exciting game, but at least they won. My brother and his wife still attend BYU so we were able to see them as well. We've decided we need to make more trips to Utah since that's where all of our closest friends seem to be!
Of course, October wrapped up with one of my favorite holidays, Nevada Day (a.k.a. Halloween). Growing up we'd always get Halloween off from school because it was a state holiday (the day Nevada became a state). I was thoroughly disappointed when I moved away to college and realized that no other states take Halloween off! Anyway, we carved pumpkins, put up our decorations, attended a Halloween party, and handed out candy...the usual! But very fun despite the being just like every other Halloween.

The Best Stroller Deal Ever!
Jeff and I have been looking at baby gear over the last few months and waiting for good sales before making any purchases. We've had our eyes on a particular stroller but everywhere we looked, the price was exactly the same - $299. This month BabiesRUs sent us their monthly coupons and most strollers were 20% off. We decided we'd go purchase the stroller but not open it just in case a better deal came along.
So we headed to the BabiesRUS in Bellevue since it was on the way to our next destination, but we couldn't find this stroller in their display section. We did, however, find one of these strollers in an un-opened box in the clearance section for $135 which we thought strange. We asked a sales associate why this stroller (which we'd never seen for less than $299 anywhere) was on clearance - was it a floor model or a return? Nope! Apparently they were no longer carrying that particular stroller at that particular BabiesRUs location and they were clearing out the inventory for that model. What luck! We purchased the stroller we had been eyeing for months at less than half the price we were prepared to pay that day! You gotta love a good deal! Here are a couple of pics of Pigsley in the new stroller (that's right - we already put it together and yes, I still treat the stuffed pig as family).

The Good Ol' Days
Jeff found a really old version of battleship at a thrift store (along with a bunch of other crap!). So we decided to play as it had been many years since either of us had even thought of the game. As Jeff was reviewing the rules on the inside of the box lid, I found myself looking at the most hilarious box cover ever. Take a look at the picture below!
Note the father and son playing the game happily while the mother and daughter (top right hand corner) do dishes in the kitchen. The wood paneling on the wall is also nice. I just can't believe they'd actually add the mother and daughter to this picture! It's crazy! If they sold this game in this box today, they'd be sued right out of business. I guess times have changed!
